Encouragement from Google

Just a quick note about one of my websites.

Very quickly after multiple phishing attacks, almost every site hosted on my service (all were attacked) dropped to Google PR n/a, which meant Google would not post them in the search results of a normal search.  They were not banned, just discredited.  » read more

Progress Report — New Hosting Provider

Last weekend, I changed servers from the hosting one web hosting provider to another.  The former provider had changed some setting for their convenience that caused serious security risks to my websites and the sites I host for others.  I discovered in the last attacks that the crackers were able to delete my .htaccess files even behind high security passwords consisting of random 12 alpha, numeric and symbol combinations.  » read more

My apology to Kelly Felix and Mike Long of Bring The Fresh

In February of this year, Kelly Felix (the Rich Jerk) and Mike Long announced Bring The Fresh and confessed about what they (or was it just Kelly) with The Rich Jerk program and how Bring the Fresh would be different.  (http://kellyfelix.com/just-thoughts/)

In reading what they said, I came to incorrect conclusions, or assumptions.  In their own forum at the above link, I criticized them based on my current, incomplete, and inaccurate  knowledge.  I also shared similar criticism in another forum I cannot locate.

Today, I am armed with more information and have a better understanding about what they were saying and what they are teaching.

Kelly Felix and Michael Long, I was wrong!  I have wronged the two of you and offer my public apology here, and on your site where I wrongfully criticized you.  I apologize to you, Kelly Felix, and to you, Mike Long. » read more

Progress Report — New Hosting Service

A while ago, some domain names were struck by a phisher. The thieves are using a vulnerability in the settings of of the master hosting service that could be turned off, literally in less than one minute.   When I called to inquire about them blocking the attacks, they suggested I pay twice as much for 1/2 the service I was getting to “protect” the good names of my domains.  WRONG ANSWER! » read more

Progress Report 100718 – Info Product Killer Begins

In my last update, I had cleaned up my marker boards of the current projects short of this site and a project on hold.  Well, it could not have happened at a better time.

This weekend, I squeezed into Info Product Killer‘s (IPK) launch while it was still only $37.  It is now $77 for only a few days, then it will become a monthly subscription site.  Right now, it is a LIFETIME membership.  If you have the money and think you might want to join the membership, now is the time to do it.  There is a 60 day refund policy by clickbank, so you are safe with getting a refund if necessary. » read more

Progress Report – 100713 Completed Two Website Makeovers

As you see from my previous post today, Failure is NOT an Option, today started with a rough beginning.  This morning and this afternoon I just took my mind off what I need to do and did whatever came to mind.  It turns out that I answered a few posts on the Warrior Forum and posted the Failure is NOT an Option message on here.  The rest of the afternoon, I relaxed and rested until dinnertime.

Website Makeovers

After dinner, I browsed through my list of websites to make sure the script kiddies hadn’t been around and found one that needed a little touch-up.  Actually, there were two on my task list with similar needs.  So I took a few minutes and touched them up.  Now I have two more websites removed from my list!

Failure is NOT an Option! It IS a Part of Life!

Expect it!  Deal with it!  Get over it!  Get up and get going again!

I woke up with a nasty, negative attitude this morning.  I tried to shake it, but not with any success.  Even listening to five podcasts reruns of the Scott Smith’s Monday edition of The Daily Boost and Zig Ziglar’s Inspiring Words didn’t bring me out of it.  Anyone who knows Scott Smith of MotivationToMove.com knows I was pretty deep.  And, yes, Scott, I did my homework but I didn’t care for what I found, OK? OK!

Just two days ago, I wrote a newsletter post by this same title for my website.  I read it over and over again. It helped, but what really brought me back is the following video.

We all experience failures throughout our lives.  They don’t make us failures.  We just need to get back up one more time.

“If I fail, I try again, and again, and again…”  Nick Vujicic

I hope this video helps you find the strength to get back up when you are down and discouraged.

Progress Report 100712 – One Step Forward — Two Steps Back

In everything there is a learning curve.  This is so very true of Internet Marketing.  Today I received a reminder of that fact.

Today should have been a very productive day.  In spite of all my interruptions, I managed to mark 4 things from today’s task list towards getting up a website and auto responder newsletter.  I know a lot about Internet Marketing, about setting up websites, editing html, the Internet, etc. Obviously, though, it is not enough.  » read more

RapidResponseBot – Product Review

“The Money is in the List”

It is as true a statement today as it was in the time when Sears catalog sales were at their peak. In virtually every Internet marketing program I have seen, an autoresponder is needed to capture your list and to keep it fed with good material.

I recently found this service, RapidResponseBot. (RRB) I have been checking it out and testing it and found it to be heavily loaded with features. It appears to have every feature included with the better known autoresponder services. There is only one feature that I found that this service does not have, and that is to hide the first name field in the input form. RRB requires a minimum of name and email address together in the input form. However, it has many other fields available including 10 extra customizable fields.

Here are a few of the features that interested me: » read more
